Career path, current position: 2002 Ph.D. in Physics at University of Bucharest, Faculty of Physics, Specialization in "Optics. Spectroscopy". 2010- Senior scientist grade I, at National Institute for Lasers, Plasma and Radiation Physics (INFLPR), Lasers Department (LD), Laser Spectroscopy Group (LSG). 2008-2010 - Senior scientist grade II, 2000-2008 - Senior scientist grade III, 1996-2000 - Research scientist, 1992-1996 - Research assistant at INFLPR, LD, LSG.

Professional experience in the topics of: The research activity of SA was concentrated on laboratory spectroscopy and was performed in three groups: LSG (INFLPR, Romania), Applied Physics Group (University of Nijmegen, Netherlands), Joint Laboratory Astrophysics Group of the Max-Planck-Institute for Astronomy at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. The spectroscopic techniques employed were: absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, differential laser absorption spectroscopy, laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy, cavity ring down spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, laser induced breakdown spectroscopy.
